
Navigating ADHD Burnout: Strategies for Resilience
Ashley Cairns is an American Mental Health Counsellor who has been living in New Zealand since 2012. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counselling, both achieved in the US. Ashley has been a Counsellor for almost 20 years and brings with her a wealth of experience from both the community and private health sectors. Recently, Ashley served on the Board of Directors for the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and is currently the CEO and Director of A Change for Better and their corresponding charity, The ACFB Fund.
Ashley brings her passion and enthusiasm for change into her role, helping the community access affordable mental health resources and support through her network of quality professionals throughout NZ. With The ACFB Fund now into its second year, Ashley and the team have focused their time and attention on filling the gaps left behind in the current system around ADHD and autism assessments, pioneering a new, efficient, more streamlined approach that is saving clients time and money while reducing the load on the system.
