About My Spirited Child

My Spirited Child was founded to provide information, strategies and support to parents, carers and educators of neurodivergent children, as well adults who are neurodivergent as themselves.

 

The team at My Spirited Child have all experienced first hand the lack of support and information available for neurodivergent people.

Initially My Spirited Child was just a website, but was full of articles and information to help people.

Then slowly as My Spirited Child built up more and more readers, we realised there was a huge need for support and information.

We needed to find as many ways as possible to get that support to our neurodivergent community and their families, carers and professionals.

 

In January 2017 we set to work on creating Conferences, as another way of getting information to parents, carers and educators.

The conferences are great! They’re so much fun and they’ve had awesome feedback from the people who’ve attended so far.

At each conference we have been lucky enough to get absolutely fantastic speakers and exhibitors. We love getting to meet loads of people and everyone leaves having had a great time, made friends and learnt loads of new information that will help them and their loved ones.

2018 and 2019 were also great years, as the Conferences and events grew bigger and better.

We had 500 people attend and the event sold out.

In 2023, we introduced Tasmania into the ADHD Conference mix. As well as the first Australian ADHD Conference ONLINE, allowing people in rural communities or those with accessibility challenges to be able to attend from the comfort of their homes.

Followed by in 2024, the introduction of not one, but two New Zealand ADHD Conferences, in Auckland and Christchurch.

We are now running the ADHD Conferences in every state, plus New Zealand every year. The plan to grow and expand My Spirited Child is bigger than ever! To be able to offer as much support and information to as many people as possible, anywhere in the world, in many different ways.
We also have our ever expanding online shop, which has tons of helpful resources and products.

Our vision is to create a world in which every neurodivergent child, be supported and enabled to reach their fullest potential and achieve their goals and dreams. And we hope that through My Spirited Child working with parents and educators around the world we will one day achieve that
