The 4 Friendship Styles

Dr Connie Buckingham (PhD) is a Psychologist and the Director of The Allied Health Studio Collective, a multidisciplinary practice established to support children’s social and emotional development. Connie’s PhD research focused on theories that help us to understand social confidence, and how to support young people to develop and maintain positive peer relationships. Connie’s research underpins the programs at The Allied Health Studio Collective including their pillar program, Social Stencil. Connie’s work supports neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals with an emphasis on theory and evidence-based work that is engaging and inspires curiosity and learning.

Connie has worked alongside some of the country’s leading Neuro-affirming advocates and professionals to develop a groundbreaking program that supports neurodivergent friendship styles. 

In this talk Connie will discuss the different friendship styles and how to support neurodivergent kids to experience the social journey that suits them and meet their needs helping them to feel emotionally stable and supported with good mental health and self esteem.
