This must see video from TED talks – How Schools Kill Creativity by Sir Ken Robinson – has been watched online by over 33 million people and with good reason.

In the video Sir Ken tells us how the hierarchy of subjects within education is flawed. And how our creative children are being massively let down.

Creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson challenges the way we’re educating our children. He champions a radical rethink of our school systems, to cultivate creativity and acknowledge multiple types of intelligence.

I first watched Ken Robinson’s ‘How Schools Kill Creativity’ speech sometime ago. And it is one that stuck with me as a parent of a child with ADHD and Intellectual Disabilities. Although this is a fascinating video for all parents.

This is the exact problem that I’m slowly fighting to change. The education system globally is simply not up to scratch for children with special needs and desperately needs to change.

This video really helped me to understand what the problem is and how education needs to be different.

Since watching this video for the first time, quite some time ago now. I have being hugely inspired to fight hard to see a difference in the way our children are educated. And one day I hope to be able to see that change happen.
