“Using a multisensory approach when teaching vocabulary” 

Marina Hennes is a certified practising speech pathologist from Melbourne Victoria with over 10 years experience. She has extensive experience in working with children and young adults on their speech, language and literacy skills, within the education and community space. As part of her various roles, Marina supports families and allied health professionals with supporting all learners by focusing on their strengths and interests. When she isn’t working directly with clients, she hosts several professional learning workshops and creates therapy resources and materials.

This  “Using a multisensory approach when teaching vocabulary”  presentation is specifically designed for caregivers, teachers and allied health professionals and highlights simple ways that vocabulary development can be supported in a multisensory way. Attendees will leave with a range of easy to implement ideas to support vocabulary development while maintaining student engagement and interest.
