Managing ADHD Food Related Behaviour

Sandy is a caring and passionate dietitian who loves working with individuals, children and families to optimize their health and nutrition through a commonsense approach of simplifying and debunking complex nutrition information. She focuses on providing individualised support, motivation and education for sustainable change. As a business owner, ADHD’er and mum of three children, she understands the incredible demands that come with juggling a busy life, health goals and personal interests. Her professional areas of special interest are gut health and the effect on behaviour; and supporting neurodivergents to thrive holistically.  Sandy is her happiest when she is in her garden digging in the flower beds!

Presentation description: ADHD’ers are known to be more emotionally driven and impulsive and have increased levels of overwhelm throughout the day. This can lead to a troubled relationship with food, erratic mealtime routines and poor nutritional health. In this presentation, Sandy will discuss how understanding and improving your self-regulation techniques, as well as using individualised and targeted motivation strategies can be used to improve your food/diet relationship, mealtime planning and meal execution; so you can catapult your wellbeing into a place that you can truly thrive.
